License Agreement

Learn what you can and can't do with the source code you'll get after your purchase.

By purchasing Chakra UI Pro, you agree to be bound by this license agreement.

Standard License

The creators of Chakra UI Pro - grant you an ongoing, non-exclusive license to use the Components.

The license grants permission to one individual (the Licensee) to access and use the Components.

What you can do

  • You may create unlimited End Products for personal or commercial use.
  • You may use the Components to create End Products where the End Product is sold to End Users.
  • You may modify the Components to create derivative components. The resulting works are subject tothe terms of this license.
  • You may create End Products that are open source and freely available to End Users.

What you can't do

  • You can't use the Components to create End Products that are designed to allow an End User tobuild their End Products using the Components or derivatives of the Components.
  • You can't redistribute the Components or derivatives of the Components separately from an End Product, neither in code nor as design assets.
  • You can't share your access to the Components with any other individuals.

Example Usage

Examples of use allowed by the license:

  • Creating a personal website by yourself.
  • Creating a website or web application for a client that will be owned by that client.
  • Creating a commercial SaaS application (like an invoicing app, for example) where end-users haveto pay a fee to use the application.
  • Creating a commercial self-hosted web application that is sold to end-users for a one-time fee.
  • Creating a web application where the primary purpose is not to redistribute the Components that are free and open-source, where the source code is publicly available.

Examples of usage not allowed by the license:

  • Creating a repository of your favorite Chakra UI Pro components or derivatives based on Chakra UI Pro components and publish it publicly.
  • Creating a replica of Chakra UI Pro and making it available either for sale or for free.
  • Creating a Figma or Sketch UI kit based on the Chakra UI Pro component designs and making itavailable for sale or free.
  • Creating a project where End Users can build their websites using Components included with orderived from Chakra UI Pro components.
  • Creating a theme, template, or project starter kit using the Components and making it available either for sale or free.

Standard License Definitions

Licensee is the individual who has purchased a Standard License.

Components are the React source code snippets made available to the Licensee after purchasing a Chakra UI Pro license.

End Product is any artifact produced that incorporates the Components or derivatives of the Components.

End User is a user of an End Product.

Client is an individual or entity receiving custom professional services directly from the Licensee, produced specifically for that individual or entity. Customers of software-as-a-service products are not considered clients for the purpose of this document.

Team License

The creators of Chakra UI Pro grant you an ongoing, non-exclusive license to use the Components.

The license grants permission to all Employees and Contractors of the Licensee to access and use the Components.

What you can do

  • You may create unlimited End Products for personal or commercial use.
  • You may use the Components to create End Products where the End Product is sold to End Users.
  • You may modify the Components to create derivative components. The resulting works are subject to the terms of this license.
  • You may create End Products that are open source and freely available to End Users.

What you can't do

  • You can't use the Components to create End Products that are designed to allow an End User tobuild their End Products using the Components or derivatives of the Components.
  • You can't redistribute the Components or derivatives of the Components separately from an End Product, neither in code nor as design assets.
  • You can't share your access to the Components with any other individuals.

  • Creating any End Product that is not the sole property of either your company or your company's client. For example, your employees/contractors can't use your company's Chakra UI Pro license to build their websites or side projects.

Team License Definitions

Licensee is the business entity that has purchased a Team License.

Components are the React source code snippets made available to the Licensee after purchasing a Chakra UI Pro license..

End Product is any artifact produced that incorporates the Components or derivatives of the Components.

End User is a user of an End Product.

Client is an individual or entity receiving custom professional services directly from the Licensee, produced specifically for that individual or entity. Customers of software-as-a-service products are not considered clients for the purpose of this document.

Contractor is an individual or business entity contracted to perform services for the Licensee.

Enforcement

If you are found to violate the license, access to your Chakra UI Pro account will be terminated, and a refund may be issued at our discretion. When a license violation is blatant and malicious (such as intentionally redistributing the Components through private warez channels), no refund will be issued.

The copyright of the Components is owned by the creators of Chakra UI Pro. You are granted only the permissions described in this license - all other rights are reserved. The creators of Chakra UI Pro reserve the right to pursue legal remedies for any unauthorized use of the Components outside the scope of this license.

Refund Policy

We're only happy if you're happy. If there are any issues, reach out via support@chakra-ui.com within 7-days and we'll issue a full refund!

We only ask that you please try out the free components before purchasing to make sure it's right for you.

Please note that you'll no longer be able to use any Chakra UI Pro Component in any projects if we issue a refund (including personal/non-commercial projects).
